The Hotel Europejski in Warsaw started its operations in 1856 in a building designed by Henryk Marconi inspired by XVI century Italian palaces. From 2018, Hotel Europejski started to operate again under the Raffles brand. We have designed and developed the website for Epoka restaurant located in the same historic site.
Epoka aspires to be unique through its remarkable guest experience. As one of a few restaurants in Poland, it introduces a completely new approach to fine dining based on the original menu served in the form of so-called “recipes”. It is further emphasized by its extraordinary interior design.
The visionary cuisine of Marcin Przybysz is a reinterpretation of the Polish culinary tradition. Together with restaurant director Antoine Azaïs, they gained experience in the best restaurants and hotels of Europe and worked with top chefs from around the world. The outcome of their partnership is the tasting menu, which constitutes a perfect mixture of tradition and modernity. Our web solutions were clearly targeted on emphasizing the original style of Epoka, while at the same time not overwhelming its natural character.
Logotype animation
We designed a logo animation positioned against a stone wall, which refers to an actual element of the interior design. A simple but effective motion design introduces visitors to the atmosphere of the restaurant in a subtle way, serving also as a functional data loader.
One-page design
We have created a one-page website that presents all essential features of Epoka. Guests will be able to find all necessary information that helps to better understand the idea of fine dining proposed by chef Marcin Przybysz. Our intention is that the details do not divert attention from practical information, such as price list, map or contact details. Photographs of the restaurant interior are displayed within modern grid layouts, optimized responsively for various types of screens.
Reservation system integration
Since reservations at Epoka can only be made online, the restaurant’s website required an advanced system. Thanks to our integration, the booking widget has been adapted to fit the style of the page and guarantees full accessibility from any device. Guests can specify the exact time of booking, number of seats and provide additional information about their preferences.
